Recent changes in Concord steam utilities, required the State of NH to make upgrades to the steam heat supply and infrastructure for the State House and adjacent buildings. Andrews assisted with the foundation excavation and site improvements for the new boiler house building, as well as excavation and restoration services for the steam carrier piping. Work in and around the streets of Concord required extensive focus on worker and public safety, trench protection, care for existing utilities and traffic reconfiguration. The new steam infrastructure allows the State to maintain the existing steam heat systems within the buildings while reducing aesthetic impacts to the historically significant buildings.
